Candidates Currently Accepted in the Program

Cody McLaughlin

Cody McLaughlin, aged 17, was born on February 11th, 2006, in Grand Cayman. He is the youngest among six siblings, born to Don McLaughlin and Sayda Hernandez. With his mother hailing from Honduras and his father from Cayman, Cody enjoys a rich blend of Honduran and Caymanian heritage. Currently, he is in his second year at UCCI, pursuing an associate degree in information technology.

His choice of study is deeply rooted in his passion for computers. Beyond academics, Cody is a visionary, always closely connected to his dreams. This intrinsic bond with his aspirations guides him, ensuring he always follows his heart's desires.

Nalani Swan

Nalani Swan, originally from Kingston, Jamaica, soon relocated to Cayman Brac as a young child. It was there she spent a significant portion of her early years, revelling in activities like bike riding, exploring the island's intricate caves, and immersing herself in its rich culture. Her memories of leaving the Brac for Grand Cayman are faint, with the exception of a poignant moment when she departed her home for the last time. Although Grand Cayman was familiar to her as a holiday destination, settling there was a unique adjustment.

Over the past 11 years, Nalani has woven herself into the fabric of the community, making close friends, participating in local activities such as beach clean-ups, and nurturing her passion for football. She is currently a sixth form student at Cayman Prep and High School, undertaking A-levels in Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology, and Economics. With aspirations for the future, Nalani hopes to pursue a degree in Computer Science and further expand her presence on social media.
